Agriculture is a critical sector for economic diversification and development. The growth of agriculture will benefit more than 70% of the population as the main livelihood source of many Timorese in rural areas.

The aim of the Research and Analytics team is to support evidence-based policy making by the Government of Timor-Leste
The specific objectives of PROSIVU’s Research and Analytics team are to:
- Support the work of PROSIVU through the use of research and analysis to achieve program outcomes.
- Facilitate dialogue on key issues amongst local actors supporting local research capability.
- Apply a GEDSI lens to all PROSIVU-commissioned research and analysis, considering climate change and poverty alleviation impacts.
